The Centre for Cross Border Studies, founded in 1999 with offices in Armagh (Northern Ireland) and Dublin (Republic of Ireland), plays a unique role in providing research and training in cross-border co-operation for an island which is emerging from over 30 years of conflict.

Activités du projet
An example of the work of the Center for Cross Border Studies is a five-day training programme which brings together public officials from Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland to learn how government in the other jurisdiction functions, and how cross-border collaboration can be used to improve the efficiency of those functions.
The Centre for Cross Border Studies also undertakes research projects in a wide range of subjects of relevance to cross-border co-operation in Ireland; manages major online information systems on co-operation across the Irish border (e.g. www.borderireland.info); and provides management support to cross-border networks of university presidents, teacher training colleges and spatial planners.
