Overview
Some practical developments for cross-border professions
The Interform project has created a partnership between practitioners, teachers and researchers, working on a platform for sharing experiences, and for the production of training tools aimed at improving the cross-border skills of professionals.

In Europe, in a limited and dispersed manner and by specialised discipline, training modules have been developed as part of postgraduate courses (notably Master’s degrees) in universities. From around 1995, within certain establishments or training centres, ‘professionalising’ modules have developed.
At the level of the borders, the Euro Institut bodies were established, and organisations involved in training, research and advice on cross-border practices were integrated into their network TEIN (Transfrontier Euro-Institut Network) which was created in 2010.

Depending on the internal organisation of a country, action can also be taken at the national level. In France, for example, the CNFPT (National Centre for the Territorial Civil Service) is working towards the inclusion of the cross-border field in its inventory of professions as well as through its training offering.
