Flagship projects

• One of the flagship projects of cross-border cooperation between the towns is the construction of a common wastewater treatment plant, which has enabled the Eurocity to manage sanitation in common.
  
  
• In 2000, the Eurocity Guben-Gubin was present at the Universal Exposition in Hannover.
  
  
• The Eurocity is also engaged in preservation of the local area and the establishment of a common cultural heritage. An emblematic initiative in this context is the cross-border urban festival "Spring on the Neisse" (artistic, cultural and sporting events). It provides an excellent opportunity for Poles and Germans to meet.
  
  
• The "Marie and Pierre Curie" German-Polish School in Guben.
  
  
• The German-Polish European Centre in Guben (support for small and medium enterprises on either side of the border).
